Sustainability

Sustainable practices are all actions taken to meet present needs that do not compromise the future of present and future generations. They presuppose a growth strategy based on a combination of financial and economic concerns coupled with efficient management of natural resources, reduction of impacts on the environment, and strong social responsibility.

Sustentabilidade

Hospitality embraces this paradigm shift, seeking to improve management efficiency by internalizing socio-economic and environmental cost-benefit analyzes within a framework of collaboration, quality of service promotion and integrated growth.

Together we have to think about how we can adjust hotel management and promote sustainability within our segment and how it can influence the life of society and the gains of each and all of the hotels that make up this association.

From the environmental viewpoint

How can we improve environmental performance at the level of the hotel units we manage?

We must choose smart choices and attitudes by internalizing environmental costs and reducing our ecological footprint, such as:

a) Waste: Seek to reduce production, make product choices integrable in the production circuit, ensure and reuse and recycle. Choosing the type of food (organic or industrialized) that will be served to the table from employees to guests, or suppliers, are actions and decisions that directly influence the environment.

b) Water: Seek to integrate efficient management of usable water reducing consumption, promote appropriate behaviors of employees and customers; integrate recirculation systems linked to irrigation systems; Periodic treatment of pool water (if any) to avoid the need for change; integrate complementary initiatives to increase the efficiency of use of this resource (such as rainwater harvesting for use in cleaning the establishment).

c) Energy: seek to reduce energy consumption and increase the efficiency of its use avoiding losses.

  1. Use low energy lamps - without compromising the correct enjoyment of spaces and the necessary lighting in reading spaces.
  2. Favor presence sensors, with adjustable timers, for automatic illumination of light in environments where this practice is appropriate.

Sustainable practices, management efficiency and cost reduction

Integrating these sustainable management measures into the day-to-day management of the hotel, meeting the principles of sustainability, naturally reducing energy and water consumption, avoiding waste and promoting reuse and recycling, reduce costs and is in itself a demonstration of improved results.

To ensure its successful implementation it is necessary to raise awareness and train the team of employees. Trained, alert for sustainability, everyone will work better and more aware of the benefits that can help to consolidate both for the hotel and for society.

Strengthening control of what goes in and out of your hotel, and the practices performed therein and suggested above, with an appropriate information management policy associated with the operation of the hotel unit is critical to the implementation of an improvement system. efficient management of natural and financial resources to promote the quality desired by its guests and unequivocally help the economic development of the region.
